WANTED: Spring
- ireneintheworld
- Apr 2, 2018
- 1 min read
Expectations of firm dates, beginnings,
arriving on time – tick-tock, in full grasp
of the season. We like bright and springly.
Applicants are tested for depression,
rain and wind-speed – only the best degrees
need apply. No tornadoes please. Sunny
disposition a distinct advantage.
Time races away like sprinting months, leaves
us lounging in coffee shops while cold days
twist themselves out of our hair, froths gossip
with latte. We are gasping for long days...
hurry, Sun, make the celestial leap.
Winter has worn us out, sprung ambitions
to dance with bluebells, forget dementia.
